Hello, I'm Bre Jackson

I started my writing career in the late 1990s with my first novel. After earning a BA in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, I was yearning to create something inspirational. This longing led me to launch a Christian magazine for women, followed by an indie press to empower female authors.

While those opportunities were indeed remarkable, I've come to understand that ambition can steer us off the path that God has designed for us. During that season in my life, I also began to explore my curiosity in atheism. However, I attribute Joyce Meyer for influencing my journey to becoming the devoted believer I am today.

During the pandemic, my life took another interesting turn. With God's leading, I enrolled in graduate school and earned a Master's in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. It was becoming abundantly clear that I was being led back to my roots in writing. Subsequently, as I taught college English, I was given an opportunity at YouVersion.

Partnering with YouVersion allows me to impact God's people every day. The Lord is expanding my mission to spread the gospel around the world in real time. In this same way, advancing God’s Kingdom through my work at GEN is the calling of my life, and I embrace it with obedience, honor, and unwavering devotion.

I was born in California, grew up in Tennessee, and currently reside in West Michigan with my family and a very active Aussiedoodle named Rocco. As a beach enthusiast, I treasure the time I spend on the shores of Lake Michigan, surrounded by its stunning natural beauty.
