Greater Is He

What should a believer do when demonic forces appear in a dream? The answer to this question became personal when I found myself standing in a room witnessing something deeply unsettling.
My husband and I were standing a few feet away from two animal-like creatures fighting. As we watch, my husband is confident in discerning who he believes he sees.
“That’s Satan!” he says, gesturing at the two figures. Then, an eerie silence falls.
They stare at us; we stare back. One in particular is not happy to see us and seems baffled that we are standing in this realm. He, assuming it's a male, becomes fixated and determines his sole target.
He rushes over, gets in my face, and stares directly into my eyes as though I am the one calling him out. He pierces my left hand with nails that feel like sharp knives while flashing his unsightly teeth. I see features straight out of a horror film as we stand eye to eye.
I persist through my suffering; I never allow this demonic being to see how he’s affecting me. I stare into his eyes without wavering and use the only weapon I know.
“I’m not afraid of you. I rebuke you in Jesus’ name—now go!” I say.
The power of stating this does little to deter this defiant spirit, so he appears to dig even deeper. He continues his attempt to intimidate me, but I stand as bold as he does.
“I SAID I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ!” I command.
As a result of insisting a second time, and more sharply, he drops down on all fours, and I see him run off into the distance with his long tail trailing. My husband stands at my side, seemingly unbothered, allowing me to confront this demonic spirit because he knows I can.
Although this is the only dream I've had confronting demons, I believe the message is unmistakably clear: there is great power in the name of Jesus Christ when we are unafraid to confront demonic spirits and principalities whenever and however they appear.
If I can face Satan and defeat him—even in a dream—then so can you. Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world!
